Holiday Celebration

Get dressed up for the holidays and join in the Annual Fox Chapel Area Branch Holiday Celebration! This year we will meet and greet virtually on Zoom and still be able to have a party atmosphere with friends to celebrate the season. There will be seasonal music; a slide show of our members and their families; we’ll take turns catching up on our activities and news (or favorite holiday traditions/food); there will be musical entertainment by the Fox Chapel Area High School choir; a drawing for the SUPER Gift Basket valued over $1,000, including a weekend next summer at Hidden Valley. We will end with our traditional singing of “Let There Be Peace on Earth” . So send in your $20 reservation to receive the link to the party and we hope you’ll all purchase tickets to win the Super Gift Basket.
Keep in mind that the Holiday Celebration is the only time we do fundraising for our Operation Fund which keeps our branch afloat. So make your $20 reservation to attend, and we hope you will be generous and buy lots of tickets for the Super Gift Basket.
- $20 Reservation fee is required in order to receive the Zoom link to the party.
- Basket Raffle tickets are 1 ticket $10, 3 tickets $20, 5 tickets $30.
- Send digitized photos for the slide show to Cheryl Towers by December 1.

STEM-CAN
Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math Careers Achievement Night

This program honors and recognizes Fox Chapel Area High School female students selected by their STEM teachers for an exceptional interest, enthusiasm, and ability for these subjects, as well as a potential for growth or career aspirations in these fields. STEM-CAN is designed to encourage high school girls to continue to take math and science courses in high school and beyond. They have the opportunity to listen to and ask questions of guest panelists who have pursued careers in STEM. This year’s STEM-CAN will not be held in-person due to the coronavirus pandemic. We will be awarding individualized certificates honoring the young women nominated by their STEM teachers.
